Catherine Connaughton - Card Player Poker Tour Event 10 Ladies Champion

Coming into today's Event 10 Ladies tournament, Catherine Connaughton (Mansfield, MA) had never made a four figure score or a Final Table in any "major" Foxwoods tournaments, but when it was all said and done Catherine would be checking both off her poker bucket list and then some, earning the biggest tournament score of her life, making her first "major" Final Table and claiming her first Foxwoods Poker title by defeating Karen Goncalves heads up for the trophy.

But don't let that fool you, as Connaughton has made several deep Foxwoods runs before, but this would be her first in a "major" live rated event.

The two ladies decided on an even chop of the prize pool and then played for the trophy, with Karen looking to win her third Ladies Championship of her career.

That wouldn't be the case though as Catherine would outlast 70 players to win the Card Player Poker Tour Ladies Event title and just over $4,500.
