Heads Up in Event #3 ($300 PLO Hi Lo 8+)

Two players remain in Event #3.  Tim Fiorvanti and Dino Moustakis are heads up for the trophy and the top $3,360 prize!  Dino Moustakis currently has Fiorvanti 2:1.


Event #1, Flight B - Advancing Players (By Chip Count)

Here is a look at the 28 players advancing to Day 2 in the money from Flight B of the $600 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry event.  These 28 will join with the 32 from Flight A and those advancing from tomorrow's Flight C.  Day 2 will begin at 12:00 noon Tuesday Oct. 4th.

After the first two flights, only one player has bagged in both flights.  Giuseppe Ruvolo bagged  62,000 in yesterday's Flight A, and bagged 178,500 in today's Flight B.  He will be compensated $1,200 for his second bag, and will move only his largest stack forward to Day 2.  He will also have the opportunity to bag a third time in tomorrow's third and final Flight C.

They reached the final 28 players in Flight B of Event #1, and they are just finishing up with bag and tag.  We will bring you a list of advancing players and chip counts within the hour.

There are 29 players remaining, which means they are now hand for hand in Event #1, Flight B.  When they reach 28, they will bag up for the night and return to play Day 2 on Tuesday at noon. We will bring you an update once the bubble bursts and again after bag and tag (with advancing players and chip counts).

Money Bubble Breaks in Event #3 ($300 PLO Hi Lo 8+)

A player that wishes to be known only as Eugene has just been eliminated in 6th place, meaning the remaining five players are all in the money and guaranteed at least $933, with first place taking home $3,360.

The flop comes K♠7♣6. Collicott checks, and Moustakis announces, "Pot."  The dealer tells Collicott that it's 26,500 to call and Collicott says, "I think I am going to pick a better spot, good luck," as he tosses his cards into the muck.

Just shortly after players returned from dinner break, Patrick Maher was eliminated in 10th place.  Maher's biggest score to date occured right here at Foxwoods back in 2005 when he took 3rd in the $565 Omaha Hi Lo World Poker Finals event for $14,555.  All of his other live cashes occurred in Melbourne, Australia.

9 AM - $60 No Limit Hold'em   

11 AM - Event #1B: $600 No-Limit Hold'em  $500,000 Guaranteed
  • Late registration is open until the start of Level 9
  • Re-Entries are allowed until the start of Level 9
  • Players begin with 20,000 in tournament chips.
  • Blinds start at 25/50
  • All Day 1s will play down to approximately 12% of the field. All players who make it to Day 2 will return in the money.
  • This is a best stack forward tournament.  If you bag chips more than once, you will receive a payout of $1,200 and play your best stack forward. 
  • There are three starting flights
    • Flight A - 11am Saturday October 1st
    • Flight B - 11am Sunday October 2nd
    • Flight C - 11am Monday October 3rd  
  • Here are the Day 1 Levels:

On a board reading 97♠5, Joe Heinzmann shoved all in from the cutoff, and Jonathan Berger called in the small blind, as did Daniel Hofer in the big blind.

Both players checked the A♠ turn and the 5♣ river.

Berger turned over A64♣2 for two pair, aces and fives. Hofer showed A♣Q♠6♣2♣ for two pair with a queen kicker. Heinzmann quickly showed Q♣J♠10♣8♣ for a flopped wrap that did not come through.  Berger takes half the pot with a better low, and Hofer takes half with his aces and fives with a queen kicker.

Heinzmann, last year's Foxwoods WPF HOSE Event winner, is eliminated in 4th place, for $1,589.
