Event 12 of the Foxwoods Poker Classic was the $1,200 NLH event with a $125,000 guarantee. There were a total of 138 entries to create a prize pool of over $145,000.
Jeffrey Higgins got off to a hot start on Day 1 and he never looked back. He managed to bag the overall Day 1 chip lead with 713,500.
Higgins continued to chip up from the start of Day 2 play but then there were a few bumps in the road. Higgins relinquished his lead to Aleksey Filatov and John Caputo at times but he battled back to earn the victory.
Higgins takes home $39,000 which is his largest live career tournament cash and can now put his first Foxwoods Classic trophy next to his WSOP Circuit ring.
