Day 1A of Event 2 is still in the first level and play is just underway. As we walk around to survey the field we see Mark Perry already sitting behind a stack of more than 40,000.

Perry filled us in on the action and told us just how he earned the double up. A player raised from early position and Perry called. They saw a flop of QxJx6x and the player continued with a bet of 2,000. 

Perry called and the dealer burned and turned the Jx. The player fired out a bet of 4,000 and again Perry called. The river was an 8x and the player bet 8,500. Perry moved all in for about 13,000 and his opponent called.

Perry turned over his AxJx for trip jacks and that was enough to earn him the pot and the double up.
