Luis Vazquez |
Just before the WSOP Main Event kicked off in July Luis Vazquez decided to try his luck here at Foxwoods in a $1,200 WSOP Main Event satellite. He accomplished his goal by winning his seat in the $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event.
Vazquez made the journey to Las Vegas just a few days before the Main Event kicked off. With time to spare he hopped into the WSOP $365 NLH Giant event and he is sure glad he did.
He managed to weave his way through the massive 8,920 entry field picking his spots and amassing plenty of chips along the way. After three days of play Vazquez found himself at his very first World Series of Poker final table.
He managed to get heads-up with Jeremy Perrin for the WSOP bracelet but would have a massive chip deficit to overcome. In the end Perrin's big stack was too much for Vazquez to overcome but he took home his largest career score of $155,478.
Vazquez is back at it here at Foxwoods in the Event 2 field and once again will have his sights set on some WSOP jewelry.
