Event 10 of the Foxwoods World Series of Poker was the $1,700 NLH Main Event with a $500,000 guarantee. There were a total of 519 entries to create a prize pool of $786,285. When the dust settled Massachusetts native Gordon Wilcox was the last man standing.
Wilcox vaulted to the top of the chip counts at the end of Day 2 and brought a healthy chip lead into Day 3 play. He picked up right where he left off and extended his lead after eliminating Dylan Wilkerson in 5th place in the largest pot of the tournament.
Wilcox brought nearly a 6-1 chip lead into heads-up play and it was too much for Jason Bolton to overcome.
Wilcox earns his largest career tournament score and his first six figure cash taking home $169,052 and his first WSOP Circuit ring. He also wins a seat into the $10,000 WSOP NLH National Championship.
