When the dust settled David Plotkin was the last man standing. Plotkin entered Day 2 with a modest stack of 115,000 and quietly chipped up throughout the day.
Plotkin picked his spots and entered the final table in sixth chip position. He started to heat up at just right the time steadily climbing until the final three players remained.
Plotkin then sent Soukha Kachittavong to the rail in third after flopping two pair to scoop the biggest pot of the tournament and brought a more than 2-1 chip advantage into heads-up play.
Just a few hands into the heads-up match Nick Gerrity ran his J♥️10♥️ into the A♣️A
Plotkin improved to quad aces to earn the victory and take home his first Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge trophy along with $28,670.
