Event 2 of the Foxwoods WSOP Circuit was the $600 NLH event with a $500,000 guarantee. There was a massive turnout with 1,560 entries creating a prize pool of more than $800,000.
After two long days of play it was the New York native Alex Jim in the winners circle. Jim started Day 2 in the middle of the pack with just under 100,000 but picked his spots and stayed patient throughout the day.
He secured key double-ups time after time and won the biggest pot of the tournament during three handed play holding pocket kings when it mattered most. Jim then brought more than a 2-1 chip lead into heads-up play.
Jeremy Wing managed to take the chip lead during heads-up play but Jim kept his composure and quickly battled back. The $134,570 first place cash is Jim's largest live tournament score and he wins his first major title along with the coveted WSOP Circuit ring.
