Soukha Kachittavong

The Day 1C Event 1 players have returned from dinner and Soukha Kachittavong is picking up right where he left off. 

Although he was unable to find a bag in yesterday flight he is picking up steam here in the late levels of Day 1C.

Kachittavong just scooped another pot and he is now in contention for the chip lead with over 350,000 and just 53 players remaining.

A player limped in from under the gun and James Campbell raised to 2,500 from the hijack. The cutoff called and Alex Jim re-raised to 7,000 from the small blind. It folded back to the cutoff who called and they went heads up to the 10♥️7♦️3♦️ flop.

Jim fired out a bet of 4,200 and his opponent moved all in. Jim snap called for his last 9,900 turning over A♣️A♠️ and was dominating the A♦️3♥️ of his opponent. 

The turn K♦️ and river 2♥️ sealed the deal for Jim and his pocket aces held up to earn him the double up.

We are inching closer to the Day 1C Event 1 dinner break and there are under 100 players remaining. Tarun Gulati is seated at the livestream feature table and he is starting to heat up.

Gulati cracked the pocket kings of his opponent holding ace queen in an all-in pre-flop confrontation just before the break.

He is now playing about a very healthy stack of 160,000 with his sights set on Day 2.
