Donald Devish |
There were 443 entries creating a prize pool of over $146,000 and Donald Devish was the last man standing.
Devish started the final table near the bottom of the chip counts but he steadily chipped up picking his spots throughout.
Devish entered heads up play with a chip deficit but just two hands into play he scored a massive double up holding pocket queens against the ace queen of Andrew Dubuque.
Dubuque was left short stacked and eliminated just a few hands later and Devish was in the winners circle. This is Devish's largest career tournament score and he takes home $29,696 along with his first WSOP Circuit ring.
