Event 4: $300 Omaha Hi/Lo 8+ Payouts, $6,837 Up Top



Event 4 of the Foxwoods Poker Classic is the $300 Omaha 8 or Better. There were 98 total entries creating a prize pool $24,416.

The final 12 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $610 for their efforts. 

The Event 4 winner will take home $6,837 along with the Foxwoods Poker Classic trophy.

Event 3: $500 Six-Max NLH Payouts, $11,094 to the Winner


Event 3 of the Foxwoods Poker Classic is the $500 Six-Max NLH. There were 94 total entries creating a prize pool $39,619.

The final 12 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $990 for their efforts. The Event 3 winner will take home $11,094 along with the Foxwoods Poker Classic trophy.

Event 1: Heads-Up Deal, Macri Takes the Trophy and $87,000

With the elimination of Andrew Cooper in third the final two players quickly agreed to a deal. The payouts were already adjusted with four players remaining and Ralph Macri and Kyle Merron were already each guaranteed $75,000.

They quickly struck a deal in which Macri who was holding a more than 2-1 chip lead will take $87,000 and Merron will earn $83,000 for his runner-up finish.

Both players would like to dedicate this win to their dear friend John Caputo who passed away earlier this week and spent plenty of time here on the Foxwoods felt with both of our Event 1 winners.

Andrew Cooper raised to 900,000 from the small blind and Ralph Macri called from the big. They saw a flop fo A♥️K♦️2♦️ and Cooper bet 1,300,000. 

Macri called and the dealer burned and turned the J♦️ Cooper checked and Macri bet 2,000,000. Cooper check-raised all in for 11,000,000 and Macri called. Cooper showed Q♦️6♣️ and Macri showed Q♣️10♣️ for the turned straight. 

The 3♣️ river card sealed the deal for Macri and Cooper was eliminated in 3rd place.

Matt Sedgeman

Matt Sedgeman moved all in for about 4,700,000 from the small blind and Ralph Macri called from the big. Sedegman showed K♥️8♦️ but he was dominated by Macri's K♦️10♣️. 

The board ran out clean for Macri and Sedegman was eliminated in 4th place.

With the elimination of Zach Bennardo in 5th the final four players agreed to stop the clock and discuss an adjusted payout deal. The stacks were counted down and after some negotiations a deal was struck.

The players then agreed to leave $20,000 in the prize pool and they will now play for the extra $20,000 and the Foxwoods Poker Classic trophy.

Zach Bennardo

The action folded to Zach Bennardo in the small blind and he moved all in for 2,600,000. Matt Sedgeman called from the big turning over A♦️10♥️ but he was dominated by Bennardo's A♣️J♣️. 

The dealer fanned the K♠️J♠️J♥️ flop and Bennardo started to celebrate after flopping trip jacks to put a hammerlock on the hand. 

The turn 6♥️ was no help to Sedgeman but the Q♥️ hit the river. Sedgeman improved to a straight and Bennardo was eliminated in 5th place earning $33,610 for his efforts.

Merron snap called turning over A♠️A♦️ and Frey showed K♠️6♥️. The board ran out K♥️5♥️10♣️5♣️J♦️, and Merron's pocket aces held up to earn him the knockout. 

Frey is our 6th place Event 1 finisher earning $24,647 for his efforts.
