Event 8 $400 HighFlyer Stack NLH: Payouts, $84,774 to the Winner


Event 8 of the Foxwoods Poker Classic is the $400 HighFlyer Stack NLH $200,000 Guaranteed. There was a massive turnout with 1,540 total entries through six starting flights creating a prize pool of $519,630.

The final 187 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $800 for their efforts.

The HighFlyer Stack winner will be taking home $84,774 along with the Foxwoods Poker Classic trophy.

There were 499 entries here in our fifth HighFlyer Stack flight and 60 Day 1E players are moving on to Day 2. Eric Blythe is at the top of the Day 1E chip counts with a massive stack of 2,100,000.

There will be 187 combined Day 1A-F survivors returning on Sunday March 17 at 12 PM and Solomon Yi is the current overall chip leader with over 2,700,000.

The Day 2 players will all be in the money guaranteed a minimum of $800 for their efforts.

Tournament registration and re-entry is now closed here in our sixth and final HighFlyer Stack flight. There were 406 Day 1F entries brining the combined HighFlyer Stack total to a massive 1,540 entries.

The final 49 Day 1F survivors will be joining the 138 Day 1A-F survivors tomorrow at 12 PM to resume Day 2 play. They will all be in the money and guaranteed at least $800 for their efforts.

We more than doubled the $200,000 guarantee and there is over $500,000 in the prize pool. The payouts are being finalized and they will be posted as soon as they're available.

We caught up to the heads up action on the turn on the Q♥️4♣️3♠️2♥️ board. Eric Phan checked and Mike Dobbs bet 26,000 into a main pot of about 50,000 and Phan check-raised to 52,000. 

 With the action back on Dobbs he made it 92,000 and Phan moved all in. Dobbs snap called for 189,500 turning over 6♥️5♥️ for the nut straight with a flush draw. 

 Phan saw the bad new turning over A♣️5♣️ and his wheel was drawing dead. The 2♠️ river card sealed the deal for Dobbs to earn him the pot and the massive double up.

The players have returned from break and the cards are back in the air. Day 1E tournament registration and re-entry is now closed.

There were 499 Day 1E entries and the final 60 Day 1E players will advance to Day 2.

This brings the combined Day 1A-E HighFlyer Stack total to 1,134 entries. There will be 138 Day 1A-E survivors returning tomorrow and they will all be in the money and guaranteed at least $800 for their efforts.

There is already close to $400,000 in the prize pool and the final HighFlyer Stack flight kicks off at 4 PM in the upstairs tournament area.
