Day 1A of the Foxwoods Megastack Challenge $600 NLH $250,000 GTD has come to an end and it's Adam leading the final 17 players with 478,500.

Mike Toltalyan is right on his heels with 458,500 and Eduart Bajrami rounds out the top three Day 1A chip stacks with 373,000.

The combined Day 1A-D survivors will return to the upstairs tournament area on Monday April 29 at 11 AM to resume Day 2 play. They will all be in the money and guaranteed a minimum of $1,200 for their efforts.

Adam Pepper

Adam Pepper raised to 12,000 from early position and the player in the hijack moved all in for 106,000.

It folded back to Pepper who quickly called turning over A♥️K♠️ and he was dominating the A♦️J♠️ of his opponent.

The 6♥️6♣️5♠️Q♣️K♣️ runout sealed the deal for Pepper who paired his king on the river to score the knockout. 

The remaining 20 Day 1A players are now all in the money and guaranteed at least $1,200 for their efforts. Play will conclued with just three more eliminations and the final 17 players will return on Monday to resume Day 2 play.

Eric Vogel

Eric Vogel chipped up early and he has stayed in cruise control for much of the night. Vogel quietly continues to chip up and he is now playing close to 225,000.

Vogel is fresh off a hot Foxwoods Poker Classic last month in which he made three final tables earning his first FPC trophy in the process after winning the $400 PLO event.

We are now just four eliminations away from the money and Vogel will look to finish strong with 17 players advancing to Day 2 on Monday.

Bill Miller

Mike Nye

The Day 1A field is thinning fast and we are already down to the final six tables. Mike Nye has just been moved to the livstream feature table and he is climbing the chip counts.

Nye just crossed the century chip mark and is up to 115,000 as the players head out on a 15 minute break.

Victor Ramdin

Victor Ramdin raised from under the gun and Joe Muldoon called from the small blind. Peter Magazzu called from the big blind and they went three handed to the 7♣️6♠️5♣️ flop.

It checked to Ramdin who tossed out a bet of 2,500 and both players called. The turn brought the 4♠️ and again it checked to Ramdin who bet 13,000.

Both players quickly folded and Ramdin scooped the pot without showdown. Ramdin who was the last player to register wasted no time getting in on the action and he has already chipped up to nearly 100,000.

Peter Magazzu

We caught up to the heads up action on the J♣️8♥️5♥️9♣️ board and there was already over 25,000 in the main pot. 

A player moved all in about 35,000 and Peter Magazzu called putting his opponent at risk. The player turned over K♥️K♦️ and Magazzu would need to improve holding K♣️10♣️ for an open ended straight draw and flush draw.

The 2♣️ hit the river and Magazzu spiked his club on the river to score the knockout. Maguzzu dragged in the pot and he is now playing one of the biggest stacks in the room with about 165,000.
